Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms apply when you use Runbriel. They are short on purpose. Please read them, especially section 3.
1. What Runbriel is
Runbriel (www.runbriel.com) is an app for running plans (with this website), run as a sole business by Dimitrios Kolovos, Turnstr. 10, 90763 Fürth, Germany (see Impressum). Runbriel is free during testing. Runbriel Premium, a paid subscription, is planned: you'll be told before anything costs money, you're only charged if you choose to subscribe, and the free version stays free. There is no advertising.
Runbriel is an app for Android (an iPhone version is planned). The website describes the app and lets you manage your account. Distances, paces and times recorded with GPS or taken from a watch are estimates and can be inaccurate.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Please give true information, especially your date of birth: plans are adjusted to it.
- Keep your password to yourself. One account per person.
- Don't misuse Runbriel: no attacks, spam, automated mass access, or offensive names. Accounts that do this may be blocked or deleted.
- The app and the website – including the plans' rules, texts and design – belong to Runbriel. You may use them for your own training, but not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or automatically scrape them. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
- The numbers Runbriel shows – distance, pace, moving time, heart-rate zones, best times and race predictions – are worked out from your phone's or watch's sensors and from rules. They can be off (for example GPS near tall buildings, or zones estimated from your age) and are not medical measurements.
3. Health and safety
- The plans, paces, check-in and tips are general training guidance, built by fixed rules from your answers. They are not medical advice and do not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or coach.
- If you have a health condition, are pregnant, are returning from an injury or haven't exercised for a long time, check with a doctor before you start.
- Listen to your body. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or chest discomfort, and get medical help if needed. The daily check-in is a self-check, not a diagnosis.
- You decide what you actually run, where and how hard. Take care in traffic, heat, cold and darkness.
- Half-marathon and marathon plans are long and demanding. Before you create one you confirm that you are healthy enough for this training. Runbriel checks only the numbers you enter (weekly distance, longest run) and cannot judge your health or fitness.
4. Your content
What you enter (profile, plans, workouts, notes) stays yours. You allow Runbriel to store and show it as far as needed to run the service for you. How your data is handled: privacy policy.
5. Availability
We try to keep Runbriel running and correct, but can't promise that it is always available or free of errors. Features may change, and Runbriel may end. If it ends, you'll be told in good time where possible.
Runbriel can connect to other services you choose, for example Strava, Health Connect or your watch's app. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for their availability or for what they do with your data, and if a service changes or ends its connection, that feature in Runbriel may stop working.
Garmin: if you connect your Garmin account, Garmin's own terms apply to it. Garmin provides its connection “as is”, without any warranty to you, and is not liable to you for Runbriel's use of it; any claims about Runbriel are against Runbriel only. Don't send workouts to a Garmin account that you are not allowed to use for this.
6. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health caused by our fault. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for using Runbriel and that you can rely on, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act is not affected.
7. Ending and changes
You can delete your account at any time (how). If these terms change, you'll be asked to accept the new version the next time you log in; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
8. Law
German law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
